Steve has been leading the fight against traffic tickets for over 22 years, practically inventing this industry. Originally Steve served as President and Founder of TicketBust.com and now leads GetDismissed.com.
In 2004, with one goal in mind — to help drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets quickly, easily, and inexpensively — Steve formed TicketBust.com. Since then, Steve has continued to expand TicketBust.com by developing and deploying solutions to assist drivers with contesting their traffic tickets.
Steve has been featured as an expert authority on many television, radio, and online networks discussing traffic tickets in California, in addition to being recognized as a thought leader, business entrepreneur, and published author.
Steve also created TicketHitMan.com and TrafficTicketSuperHero.com and purchased competitor TicketKick.com. He later rolled all three websites into TicketBust.com.
Based on the knowledge gained from developing and operating a successful traffic ticket service in California, Steve believed there had to be an easier, simpler, and better way to contest a traffic ticket. Steve set out to create a revolutionary service that empowered drivers to fight back against traffic tickets themselves. Thus, the GetDismissed service was born and officially launched in February 2015.
Initially raising development funds from friends and family to release and test-market GetDismissed, Steve subsequently completed an angel investment round at a $3 million valuation. Steve has since transformed GetDismissed into a membership service that allows California drivers to contest their traffic tickets for free.
In 2023, Steve merged TicketBust.com into GetDismissed.com to create the largest Legal Document Assistant Service in California, helping drivers keep their records clean by providing a complete defense package, including a Trial by Written Declaration, for California drivers fighting traffic tickets.
Steve is a published author, releasing his first book in 2011, Traffic Tickets. Don’t Get Mad. Get Them Dismissed. Traffic Ticket Tips, Must Knows, and Much More, followed in 2012 by Traffic Tickets. Don’t Get Mad. Get Them Dismissed. Stories From The Street. The Ones Who GOT OFF.
In 2015, Steve released his third book, GetDismissed: No Brainwork Required, It’s That Simple.
In 2018, Steve released his fourth book, GetDismissed: The Sequel – Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Drive In California Again.
Steve has also been featured on TV, radio, print, and online media as a traffic ticket expert discussing topics such as distracted driving, contesting traffic tickets, traffic ticket myths, traffic ticket tips, traffic law, and more.
Prior to TicketBust.com, Steve was CEO of MediaHippo, Inc., an interactive agency focused on web, DVD, and multimedia development. Steve was instrumental in promoting and marketing Kodak Photo CD technology in the 1990s, authored numerous articles, and was a featured speaker at many industry events.
Steve graduated from California State University Northridge with a BS in Accounting. He previously worked for Deloitte Haskins and Sells as a Certified Public Accountant before starting his own accounting agency.
